XAVIER
ROUSSET
Xavier Rousset is an Australian filmmaker and educator making his debut feature documentary after a decade of professional filmmaking. His first short on refugees in Australia kick-started his passion for impact-driven storytelling. He later worked for Queensland University of Technology and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland, documenting medical research and translating complex science for broad audiences. In 2019 he founded InFocus Video Workshops, a nationwide company that has trained hundreds of organisations across government and industry to tell their own stories through film. This work deepened his passion for communication.

Drawing on his lived experience with depression and anxiety, Xavier has dedicated the past two years of his life to A Trip to Transformation, a legacy project designed to reduce stigma and change mental health and well-being. He has conducted one of the most comprehensive explorations into psychedelic medicine, securing access to retreats, clinical studies, and Indigenous communities worldwide. With an award winning team, Xavier is ready to deliver a cinematic, zeitgeist-shaping story for widespread impact.
